Hello! As a shy newcomer to the fandom but not the show, and primarily an Armitage fan, may I please know more about the Hannibal fandom itself? Everyone’s just been so nice and welcoming and it’s making me wonder if this is too good to be true!

memorypalaceofwillgraham:

Hello!

I am so excited to see what Richard Armitage does with Francis Dolarhyde.

Please don’t be shy. 🙂 Although, I have been there myself. In fact, it was the Hannibal fandom that drew me out of my shell, here on tumblr at least. I’m not exaggerating when I saw this is the most welcoming fandom I’ve ever been in. So while you are not new to the show, I am happy that you are thinking about becoming more involved with the fandom!

We aren’t too good to be true. Although I have wondered the same thing. XD It has seemed to me that a lot of fannibals have experience with other fandoms and are making an effort to make the Hannibal fandom a nicer one to be in. There are always ups and downs, but on the whole this fandom is wonderful to be involved in.

What I can tell you about the fandom and fannibals: It is a very creative and involved fandom. When the show is on, there are usually weekly pushes to get the show to trend on twitter. People have put on various events (rewatches, etc.) to help us get through the hiatus (or as we call it…HeAteUs). Related to that, the official accounts on tumblr and twitter are very involved with the fanbase.

We have tons of amazing fanart and fanfic. And the meta! There are some crazy smart people who write beautifully about “Hannibal.”

Sorry, this is a just a really generalized overview. I guess I don’t quite know how to answer your question more than that, so please let me know if you have specific questions?

Cheers to you, and I hope to see you off anon and around the fandom! ❤

Join us anon, the fandom is filled with body parts and flower crowns  :3 we are a good group of people

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart. Well, not my heart, it was the heart of a man who shoved his way in front of me in line at Williams Sonoma. I suppose that you could say that I made it mine when I roasted it with some winter root vegetables and a white Bordeaux. Anyway, last Christmas I gave you my heart, and the very next day, you threw the left-overs away. Which is fine, it really should be eaten straight from the oven or not at all. Merry Christmas, xoxo Hannibal.

shut up. SHUT UP he did not

[Interviewer asks him what he misses about Denmark while he’s away]

Mads: Well…. first of all, my family, obviously because [giggles] often they’re here when I’m away. Eh…. language? It’s my language, it’s my… It’s my hood [giggles]. Uh…. some of the food? Uh… it’s just my base. There’s something comfortable about it and it doesn’t really matter if it’s a beautiful country or an ugly country. I think everybody has a base and they like that base, you know? And and that’s what I do as well.

‘It’s my hood’

oh my god I’m crying Mads :,)
