There is no show that sits with you quite like Hannibal. Lush and terrifying, Bryan Fuller’s intoxicating rendering of Thomas Harris’ classic franchise is a cinematic feast for the senses, from the oddly beautiful murder tableaux to Hannibal’s mouth-watering dinner spreads to the moody score. But more stunningly, the show is a brilliant psychological tango between Hugh Dancy’s Will and Mads Mikkelsen’s Hannibal — made even better by Season 2’s cat-and-mouse role reversal — that’s rewriting the serial killer genre as we speak. It’s a show that’s not just rare on network TV, but all of TV.

The ensemble cast is one of the best on television, and one of the most heroic, considering the ludicrousness they are expected to put across: Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy, Laurence Fishburne, Caroline Dhavernas, and Gillian Anderson, and a regular stream of superb guest-actors counteract the extremity of Fuller’s images with understated, wryly funny performances.

This is just a reminder that some members of Mads’ family DO have social media accounts, and it is NOT okay to stalk them and or use the personal photos posted to said accounts. We love Mads and we’d never want to upset him, so we should really leave him and his family alone! We can enjoy Mads through his work.

Also, not only is it super icky to save and share personal photos of his family, but when it comes to Carl, it’s ILLEGAL! In America, the possession and distribution of photos including a minor without the consent of the minors guardians is punishable by law, not to mention very disrespectful! Photos of the Mikkelsen/Jacobsens at red carpet events are another story, as they’re taken and used for editorial purposes- the exception to the law. This all also includes photos of Hugh and Claire’s son, and any and all other minors!

Be careful and be respectful, fans! Let’s not let Mads and Hugh down. ♡

People who pit Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen against each other or insult one of them because they prefer the other are so weird. They are pals? Why do you hate friendship?

I mean Mads said he doesn’t want to be nominated for an Emmy before Hugh, and then asked if they could be nominated together as a bromance. That is cute as fuck.
