PSA: if somebody likes a problematic/unhealthy ship but doesn’t try to defend the problematic elements of that ship and simply enjoys it in a fictional/narrative context with all of it’s fucked up ness and you attack them and bring their personal morality into question for shipping it,  you are the asshole in that situation.

Trevi

Before Hannibal and Will were in
Florence, they went to a very special place in Rome the Fontana di Trevi

The cobbled pavement wraps around
the grand fountain, the water that fills it is gives has a teal color with gold
hues from the coins that coat the bottom. The two men were at the edge of the
fountain Will is holding a coin ready to toss it in the water while Hannibal
was admiring the statues perched on the rocks above.

Hannibal cuts the silence between
them

“You know, the fountain was placed on top of
aqueducts that supplied the city of Rome with water for over 400 years, it was
finished in 1762 and features Pietro Bracci’s Oceanus in the center”

Will nodded, playing with the
coin in his hand thinking about the perfect time throw it in the water.

“Well I know a little bit about this fountain
as well”

Hannibal looks
intrigued “Oh really? Do tell.”              

“Legend has it that if you throw
a coin in the fountain with someone that you love, you will return back to Rome
with them later in life.”

Hannibal turns to him and asks

“Do you wish to return with me
Will?”

He ponders his answer, he’s quite
unsure about what he wants to say to Hannibal

“Being with you…seems apt, I can’t
fathom being with anyone else in this moment with you”

Hannibal isn’t one to believe in
folk tales or legends but he appreciates what Will says

“Well, you know what you must do
now.”

Hannibal looks at Will as he
turns his back to the fountain and flings the coin into the water, he turns
back around and the two both watch the water sway and change both savoring the
time they have together.

So I watched half of Hannibal season 2 over yesterday

And I’ve come to the conclusion that the perfect time for Hannigram to even be canonically initiated is right after Will starts attending therapy sessions with Hannibal again. In all of my rps it starts out more in season one and Will is innocent, nervous, falling for Hannibal before he realizes what he really is. But I’ve realized that if the show were to ever actually go toward a physically involved relationship with Will and Hannibal, it could have worked so easily with little to no changes in the script right around episode seven. Because as viewers, we would suspect that this is Will trying to get Hannibal ‘hooked’ and he is the ‘bait.’ Hannibal would not be against the idea of being intimately involved with Will but he would be cautious. Will tried to kill him, after all. And as viewers, we would immediately think ‘this is a trap. Will is doing this to trap him.’ This would also be used as a small weapon against Alana because of her lack of trust in Will. They wouldn’t keep it silent, not for long. Can you imagine Alana approaching Will, knocking on his door to ask ‘what are you doing?’ because why oh why would the man who tried to kill Hannibal even want to sleep with him? Sexuality isn’t a factor here, this is a game. Will is playing a game and the nights he spends curled up in Hannibal’s bed suddenly take a turn around the time Randell appears. Hannibal questions Will’s motives and Alana would be furious at Hannibal, wondering why he would agree to sleep with Will if they had both ‘buried him’ together. But the entire time we don’t know Will’s intentions. They talk about this in therapy and Will distances himself when Hannibal asks if he still imagines killing him. Randell is sent to kill him and it is only after Will delivers the body to his home he realizes he is slipping deeper in to this. The sex becomes more personal, his trust grows, he is transforming and it delights Hannibal to no end. As an audience we are left wondering how real this is and where Will’s heart really lies and when the final episode comes around, it hurts even worse.

Will's Piercing part 1

Maybe he had a fetish, who knows. It started not too long ago, less than 3 months ago when Will decided to get his nipples pierced. He’d been curious about it. Hannibal had talked about it. Getting his nipples pierced. Will has been curious as to why Hannibal wanted his nipples pierced. Maybe it was an after thought. Or maybe it has to do with Hannibal lavishing and paying more attention to his nipples during their intimate time together in their bedroom. Hannibal would tend to his nipples, tugging, sucking and even pulling them hard into his mouth, which made Will come untouched many times. And, Hannibal would have that dark and lustful look on his face after he’s done with Will, which made shiver in pleasure.

After getting his nipples pierced, the thrill of having a shirt stretched across his chest, caressing those rings made him want to touch them. Sometimes, when he bent down to grab something off from the floor, or when he knelt down next to a corpse, his shirt would stretch, tugging at his pierced nipples, that made use an arm across his chest. It just…felt so good. Though, he hadn’t told Hannibal of what he’s done. Yet. He’s counting down in his head to the day when Hannibal would find out. And maybe, just maybe Hannibal lavish at his pierced nipples.
