Werewolf AU: Will recognised the sound of the howl, it was like his own. The call of a lone wolf. It was three days later before the wolf showed himself, and another few before Will joined him on a run that ended in them resting together.

Brownham AU: Matthew wakes up after being shot by Jack to find himself cuffed to a hospital bed. It doesn’t feel bad though, not when he sees Will waiting for him. Even knowing he is going to be sent to the same hospital that he used to work at, all he can think of is the person in front of him. When he asked what Will was doing there, Will only responded with “What are friends for.”

Will didn’t visit at first, he told himself it was because Matthew was just a tool he had used. Only after he captured Hannibal did he find himself unable to forget Matthew. It’s almost been a year when he sits across from Matthew in the visiting room, but it doesn’t go as he expects. Matthew shows him a righteous anger that is deeply founded in hurt and abandonment. Will doesn’t know how to even start mending what he has broken.
