Happy Aperitif Day!!

So if you don’t know, today is the first anniversary of the first episode of Hannibal and in that one year we have been going through the most craziest things!

The first time I saw Hannibal I was at home and I was tv surfing one night I clicked on NBC and what do I see? Hugh Dancy gouging some lady’s eyes out, I had no idea who Hugh Dancy was until I got into the show and I was grossed out from what I saw so I changed the channel.

The next day I go onto tumblr and BAM Hannibal is trending! I check it out the Hannibal tag, I decided to give the show a second chance and the rest is simply history…

I don’t think I’ve ever been a part of a fandom that was so dedicated to the show enough to get other fandoms to help them out with ratings and make sure that the show didn’t get canceled, where as a fandom we can stand up for our actors and actresses when their being bashed by some asshole on tumblr or twitter.

People might not think we are the nicest fandom but I can tell you how wrong they are. We’ve cried together,we laughed together, we made cannibal puns to each other I’ve made so many friends on here there is nothing I would want to change here!

So happy aperitif day, I hope we can all be together for many more years to come :]

ATTENTION FANDOMS!

Hello everyone! Currently in my Writing 101 class I have a research essay that I’m working on about strong women in television, and I needed data to support my theory that regardless of sex or race, people enjoy seeing a strong, independent woman on their screens.

I made a survey so I can collect the data and I would really appreciate it if everyone do it! your opinions are extremely important to me (and my grade on this lol)

Here’s the link:

When your done, please try to share this to other people that would also help!

Thanks!

So I was in my writing 101 class and we were talking about discourse communities and basically its a group of people who have a general interest in the same things and I asked my professor “would that include fandoms ?’ and she said yes so not only would this be called the hannibal fandom we could also be called the hannibal discourse communities
