People don’t know what BDSM is, they don’t know what classes as abuse and 50 Shades of Grey goes “hey, buy some branded handcuffs and these balls you put your shoo or this thing up your arse and then do what you like with people because you can do BDSM now and secretly they want it right?”
People can do what they like with they money? The government can’t tell you what to do with your money (sort of, they do, but for the sake of argument) but I damn well can tell you it’s better to donate your money to desperately underfunded women’s refuges than buying that abuse laid-en piece of crap DISGUISING itself as romance, being watched by not only impressionable young men and women (as they made sure under 18’s could watch it) but also older people, likely to have children and likely to pass on their bull shit ideas. I can definitely express that as a view, which is what I did.
Also Hannibal doesn’t disguise itself, it’s a psychological thriller about a cannibal that has killed a lot of people.
Plus, that post was more for people that already know 50 shades of grey is a pile of wank, because at no point do I, in that post, offer arguments as to why it is. So there is something assumed there, that the person reading the post isn’t a moron. But bless you for trying. Enjoy the rest of your day.
