Hey everyone, are you having some weird scam type feelings about that latest Hannibal artbook thing? I’ve heard from several anon sources that they are not being upfront with receipts regarding charity money donated and artists not clearly being rejected/accepted in a timely manner.

Also, rping whilst judging seems to be a little obnoxious seeing as people have paid real money and spent hard time, effort and love getting their art ready for judging.

Your thoughts, Fannibals?

Within the kickstarter, they say that contest winning artists will be announced once judging is completed. It has been a week, and instead of seeing that we’ve had some ‘honorable mentions’ that are more insulting than exciting.

Silence has been the rejection notice for pieces in this event. Which isn’t okay because mess ups like that happen. Its even more distasteful to lie.

I feel like this really does need to be addressed and quickly – I am very hopeful that the hannibook people will respond publicly to the investors in this project – both those who invested their art/time and those who invested their money – and let us all know what’s going on.

I am disappointed as someone who both financially supported this project and as someone who promoted it that it’s being handled so badly, and I really hope it’s just a lack of professionalism that can be remedied quickly with grace and maturity.

The lack of transparency about the money alone is absolutely horrifying, but it’s sad to see so many amazing artists having their time and work being treated so unprofessionally on top of it. The flippancy of the comments about judging as well as the “my silence is your rejection” aspect is beyond unprofessional.

My very sincerest condolences to the artists, this is not how you should be treated, and I’ve not seen a rejected art piece yet that I wouldn’t love to have hanging on my wall.

I agree and I very much appreciate the reblog. We need to gather what people know about this and what can be done to clear up any problems.

The banquet book, last years book, doesn’t really have a visible receipt in regards to the charity money donated. This is our main concern.

Using the books as an excuse doesn’t make sense though. I mean at this point in the book timeline Will shouldn’t even be in it yet and he’s only in ONE book. Book canon dictates that this is when Lecter is free and has the story to himself. So it doesn’t make sense to say “oh Hannibal’s barely in it because they’re following book canon so no one should complain” when they aren’t at all. (I’m not saying they should have to, just your argument seems hypocritical.)

1. So in S3 we are going into Red Dragon territory so he would be there??? you know solving the tooth fairy crimes and all that stuff. Lecter is already in Jail so I think Bryan is um… taking some liberties in terms of how long Hannibal is out and if I remember this correctly. Will isnt planned on being written out at all

2. That is the argument that i’ve seen, alot of people don’t quite care about other characters (like in terms of developing them??) . I saw one post where someone was mad bc Bryan wanted to go deeper into Dolarhyde in S3 (which I dont understand their argument at all bc thats kind of a big thing)

Thank you. Idk what some people’s problems are. Lecter isn’t in a few of the books or movies that much either. We must have other characters just as important as him, even in explaining his backstory.

This is what i’ve been saying, plus im pretty sure Hannibal will be big in this season with the whole running to italy with Bedelia posing as a married couple bit. Like its like they want just Hannibal living life killing people and that just doesn’t make sense to me.
