I usually hate conflict, and try to avoid calling people out. But.

I just saw this comment on the Mads Birthday project post, after the person kindly ‘striked’ all the original post. Why would we collect money to simply give Mads? Mads is not in need of money, he is a fantastic actor who probably gets paid quite a bit. To have fans toss money at him is simply stupid.
Do you think a million fans would donate a dollar? For Mads? He isn’t a charity case. He’s an actual famous actor. A different thing is to actually donate to a charity he endorses, and THAT idea is actually in the works, and may or may not happen.
What we plan to do was send him a birthday book/video with messages from all his fans, and I only hope he would appreciate that. Actors don’t want our money. He’s getting our money from the films we watch, and the channels we subscribe to. But no actor ever accepts fucking charity from a fan
But to simply give him a million dollars from our pockets so he can “get something nice?” He isn’t a charity fucking case, he is a celebrity. I don’t know Mads but I can bet you that if we gave him a million dollars under the excuse “oh we wanted you to get a nice thing”, he would be quite pissed off.
Actors appreciate love, and video messages. They appreciate us telling them why we think they’re fantastic and why we admire them. I know this blog of yours posts quite rudely on other peoples posts often, but honestly – why would you suggest we give him a million dollars? I mean if you want to do it, then great. But please don’t strikethrough an actual post and post that kind of stuff.

To say the video will be garbage is like extremely rude of them to say like…. idk Im sure Mads will enjoy this gift more than a million dollars tbh

the gift comes from the heart and thats all that matters.
